Sharlaine Menezes is Goa's first and only female rapper with original music. She began performing at age 4 on All India Radio's Portuguese show and later trained in piano under Trinity College London. In Grade 12, she discovered her passion for rap, becoming a pioneer in the field.

Sharlaine has worked with global artists like Tracy De Sa and Marc Legend and uses her music to address gender inequality in hip-hop. A TEDx speaker and youth award winner, she has also presented research on gender dominance in rap. Sharlaine was the only Indian artist selected for the IBIS global campaign (2020–21), making her an inspiring figure for originality and representation in music.
